Here at GMO-Free Tampa Bay, our goal is to help you live a GMO Free life by providing you with the knowledge and resources to do so.  We are also a group of activists, working to get GMO Labeling in Florida and the USA, and working towards complete removal of GMOs and harmful pesticides and herbicides from our lives.

 

We keep a list of local organic and Non-GMO resources on our local page. You have heard the phrase "know your farmer, know your food".  We believe the next best thing to growing your own food is finding a local farmer and getting to know them and their farming practices.  

 

We also believe there should be mandatory GMO labeling on products so that we, as individuals, can choose whether we want to take a risk on ingesting them, or not.  Partnering with Food and Water Watch - Florida, we have been pursuing labeling in Florida since 2013.  Sadly, our legislators in Tallahassee do not share our concerns, and they are not listening to the majority of Floridians who are telling them "label it!"  We are very thankful for Representative Vasilinda and Senator Ring for their sponsorship of bills each year.  But, obviously, the rest of the legislators are not hearing us.

These signatures do not expire, and we use them as proof of YOUR VOICE saying "just label it!" when we speak to our legislators to gain sponsorships/co-sponsorships.  There is truly power in numbers!
